Effect:
The red aces magically switch locations with the black aces. Bear in mind - good magic is straightforward!!
Secret:
First, take away all of the aces from the deck. Set the remainder of the deck to the side.
Present that there are 4 aces, and explain that two are pink and two are black.
Ask a volunteer from the audience open their hand.
Set up the aces black, pink, black, red.
Do a double lift (that is where you decide up the top two playing cards from the deck but hold them together so that they appear like only one card).
Show these two cards as a pink ace. Set both cards down on the packet and slide the highest card off. Say "Red." as you place this black card into their outstretched palm.
Now slide the highest card (pink) to the left a bit of bit as you seize the underside two playing cards in your right hand and show them as one. (Is that this called a bottom lift?) Set both playing cards back down on the packet and slide the highest card off. Say "Red." as you place this black card into their palm.
Place the opposite two cards onto the desk as you say "Black." pause "Black."
Now for the enjoyable part. Do something magical to make them assume that you're performing some actual magic. Wave your hands over the cards. Have them rub the playing cards on the desk, or between their palms.
Now ask the volunteer to flip the playing cards face up. After all they are black.
Say "If these are the black cards, these have to be red." Flip over the crimson playing cards and bow to the applause. You have simply carried out the color changing aces!
